Ruffwear's most popular harness by a country mile is the Front Range and whilst it is at the low end of their range it really stands out as a step up from competitive offers. (RRP £44.95)
The Front Range is rightly positioned as an everyday harness, it's not designed for technical work, but it benefits from a high quality feel with generous padded fabric in all the key places, good durability/strength and a stylish look. It's lightweight too which is a bonus. All the usual features are on the body of the harness as you would expect and include reflective piping, two leash attachment points (the main one of which is aluminium) and a velcro'd pocket for storing an ID or even spare change for the bus.
Fitting couldn't be easier with two points around the collar with sliding adjusters on the webbing to get a comfortable fit. On the belly panel two straps connect to the top of the harness by adjusting and then connecting to the buckle connectors adjacent to the leash connection point. First time fit will take a few minutes to adjust to your dog, but once set you can quickly click in and out of the harness making it a very simple choice for those everyday walks.
Given that this harness will be seen around your local neighbourhood, it's important to be fashionable. Six colours are available and I would say making that choice will take longer than making the choice for the Front Range as your go to harness. Sizing runs form XXS to L/XL to ensure no one is left out.
So in a summary a strong but comfortable harness in a rainbow of colours that will really give good performance for most dog walking duties.
